Mold Making for Jewelry Casting
Molds are the only way to make copies of a physically existing model.
One or more sprues are temporarily connected to your model, and the mold material is either cured or vulcanized around it. Then the object is cut free from the mold, leaving a negative image of the piece.
Some objects, due to having areas that trap material, are not suitable for molding. Thus we must review each piece for feasibility.
If your original is in wax, please expect it to break when it is cut free from the mold. If this is a concern, please consider casting first, and then molding from the casting.
We use several mold materials to accommodate your specific production needs. See the products page for more information.
