Finishing 1: Cleaning

Our most popular finish, Finish 1 refers to removing the sprue and cleaning the piece. It is a necessary step before Finishing 2.

Finishing 2: Pre-polish

In Finishing 2, the polisher goes over the whole piece, checking for imperfections and correcting them. This step is the most time-consuming and thorough, and is done before setting stones. It is a necessary step before Finishing 3.

Finishing 3: High polish

In Finishing 3, the polisher brings the piece to a high shine. If the piece contains stones, Finishing 3 follows the setting of stones.

A matte finish with an even, slightly gritty look.. Usually done after Finishing 1, but some pieces may require finishing 2 before a satin finish is applied.

This is a popular finish with a subtle directional brush effect. It is usually done after Finishing 1, but some pieces may require finishing 2 before a satin finish is applied.

Antiquing is the addition of patinas to darken certain areas, enhancing detail and bringing dimension to a piece.

Plating

Plating is an electrolytic process where a thin layer of metal is applied to the surface of a piece. We offer plating in yellow gold (10K, 14K, 18K, & 24K), pink gold (18K), green gold (14K and 18K), and black and white rhodium. Anything that is conductive can be plated.
